To say the quarterback situation at Carolina in early January was a wee bit dire is putting it mildly. "We had to scramble, there's no question," offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Blake Anderson says. "We looked locally to see if there was anyone nearby." Two of the names that made their way to the top of the list: Kanler Coker of Flowery Branch, Ga., and James Summers of Greensboro.
