UNC hangs on for 16-13 win

Kentwan Balmer, a senior defensive tackle, pressured quarterback Chris Turner into throwing an incomplete pass on fourth down and 2 yards to go at the Tar Heels’ 41-yard line with only 36 seconds left. The play enabled the Tar Heels to survive a determined Terrapins comeback after building a 16-3 lead with seven minutes left in the third quarter.
