UNC Evaluating 2014 PF Ben Bentil

The UNC basketball staff is evaluating 2014 power forward (6-8, 225, Middletown, DE), according to Alex Kline of The Recruit Scoop.

Bentil, a native of Ghana, is currently being recruited by a number of Big East schools, including Villanova, Syracuse, and Rutgers. NBE Basketball profiled Bentil during last summer's Hoop Group Elite Team Camp and had this to say regarding Bentil:

"Bentil describes himself as a defensive player, but his coach describes him as a jack-of-all-trades on the basketball court. Bentil listed a few schools from the Big East that have shown him interest. Judging by the reaction and buzz from the camp, that list will certainly grow."

Currently, has offered only one scholarship in the 2014 recruiting class. That offer went to consensus 5-star center of Chicago's Whitney Young high school. Look for more recruiting news on Bentil in the future as his stock (and skill set) continue to grow.
