Phil Ford’s election to Hall of Fame long overdue


was in the spotlight again Tuesday, and not only because became the first UNC senior to be named ACC Player of the Year since he won the award in 1978. Only a few minutes after Zeller’s selection was announced, Ford became one of the newest members of the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame. The recognition was long overdue for player who helped redefine the point guard position. (Wilmington Star News)
