Quinton Coples meets with Carolina Panthers

Former UNC defensive end Quinton Coples, who has been compared in stature and ability to fellow Tar Heel and ex-Panthers defensive end Julius Peppers, was in Charlotte for a pre-draft visit with the Panthers, according to a team source. Coples, 6-foot-6 and 284 pounds, is considered a top-10 prospect in next month’s draft despite his subpar senior season.
