Brice Johnson named S.C. Gatorade Boys Basketball Player of the Year

Brice Johnson averaged 25.4 points, 14.3 rebounds, 8.3 blocks and three assists per game this past season, leading the Cougars (15-5) to the second round of the Class 2A state tournament. Also 2010-11 Gatorade South Carolina Boys Basketball Player of the Year, he is the No. 30 ranked recruit in the Class of 2012 as rated by ESPNU. Johnson has signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball on an athletic scholarship at the University of North Carolina this fall.
