In the end, perhaps it was fitting that North Carolina's last-play Hail Mary on Saturday almost was caught, just short of the end zone. "It was close," disappointed quarterback T.J. Yates said after the Tar Heels left the field to a standing ovation. "Too close." That pretty much sums up the Heels' 21-15 loss to No. 7 South Carolina -- and their football season so far.
