Last Time: Carolina beat South Carolina 21-17 in Kenan Stadium on November 16, 1991. Natrone Means rushed for 144 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Jason Stanicek threw for two touchdowns and the Carolina defense had eight sacks. Linebacker coach and former Tar Heel Tommy Thigpen started at linebacker and had six tackles.
