Tar Heel lineman sheds pounds, raises expectations

UNC football coach Larry Fedora didn’t mince words when offering his first impression of Sylvester Williams. “That kid was fat and overweight when I got (to North Carolina),” Fedora said of the senior defensive tackle. “He was 330 pounds and he was making a decision whether he was going to come out or stay in.” Of course, that was before the summer.
