Trey Lyles wants to experience recruiting, reiterates IU is current top choice
Posted Aug 11, 2012
Trey Lyles, ranked in the top 10 of national recruiting services, committed to Indiana before he had played a varsity game. At the time, he also had offers from Illinois, Purdue and Ohio State. Now that he’s back on the market, there are certain to be dozens of programs hoping to get him on campus. Lyles said he hasn’t talked to any schools yet other than IU, but his dad, Tom Lyles, said “a whole lot” of coaches have reached out so far. The elder Lyles declined to mention school names — other than Harvard — saying it’s irrelevant at this early stage.
