Erik Highsmith primed for big senior year


is ready to take on the role as the Tar Heels’ go-to receiver. “I think my role is to be that No. 1 receiver, the go-to guy,” said Highsmith, a 6-foot-3 wide receiver. Highsmith is hoping to flourish in new coach ’s spread offense. As a junior, he pulled in 51 receptions for 726 yards and five touchdowns. (New Bern Sun Journal)
