Because of the lack of tangible rewards, the Tar Heels have had to manufacture their own incentives. “We set two goals, to be the Coastal Division champion and the North Carolina state champion,” senior guard Jonathan Cooper said. “Those are two major motivating factors to us.” UNC got a head start on both objectives last week.
