North Carolina wins exhibition game over Shaw

James Michael McAdoo had 16 points and eight rebounds to help No. 11 North Carolina beat Shaw 81-54 on Friday night in its only preseason game. Freshman forward Joel James added 13 points and seven rebounds for the Tar Heels, who missed 10 of their first 11 3-point attempts and trailed early in the second half before rallying to score 23 consecutive points.
