"Saint" Bernard to the rescue
Posted Oct 28, 2012
After rolling his ankle and getting taken off the punt return team earlier in the second half, Bernard put himself back in the game with 30 seconds left. He then scored a 74-yard punt return touchdown to break a tie and give UNC a 43-35 win at Kenan Stadium. “That’s like a Michael Jordan or a Babe Ruth play,” guard Jonathan Cooper said. “To call your own number like that and then make it happen — that’s amazing.”
