Butler’s defensive game plan against No. 9 North Carolina was three-fold – control the pace, tighten spacing and be physical with the Tar Heel big men. The plan worked. “They were more physical, more assertive and more aggressive,” UNC head coach Roy Williams told reporters during his postgame press conference at the Lahaina Civic Center.
