Butch Davis has his team confident heading into ACC opener

UNC's players are optimistic about their chances of being successful in league play under Butch Davis -- "I think we are the best or one of the best teams in the ACC this year," kicker Connor Barth said this week -- and they're intent on winning their conference opener for the first time since 2000. "It's very important to us," said junior wide receiver Brandon Tate, who leads the ACC in receiving yards and touchdown catches.
