Butch Davis had one scholarship remaining after signing day, and he knew how he wanted to spend it. The exhaustive search led the Tar Heels to junior Terrence Brown, who is proving to be as valuable as almost any of the top-notch recruits Davis' staff signed in February. Brown has booted six of his 10 punts inside the opponent's 20-yard line, and he is a major reason why the Tar Heels are No. 9 in the nation in net punting.
