Kicker Freeman Jones commits to UNC
Posted Mar 11, 2013
Kicker Freeman Jones (Bunn, N.C./Bunn) has committed to sign with North Carolina, multiple sources report. Last fall, Jones connected on 8 of 10 field goal attempts and sent more than 80 percent of kickoffs into the endzone for touchbacks. He's North Carolina's third 2014 pledge, joining cornerback Tajze Battle (Fort Myers, Fla./Dunbar) and defensive end Robert Dinkins (Charlotte, N.C./Olympic), who both committed last June.
