Roy Williams offers Devin Booker

became the third shooting guard from UNC's 2014 basketball recruiting class to receive a scholarship offer from on Tuesday, according to Booker via Twitter:

"Coach Roy offered! #UNC"

Williams attended Booker's open-gym session on Tuesday and presented the offer following Booker's workout, according to USA Today's Jason Jordan.

"s reaction to ' offer? 'Excited! I like how he came and did it in person. Meant so much more!'"

Booker recently visited the Triangle to visit both UNC and Duke, and detailed his visit as well as ' recruiting strategy for the 2014 class:

"I talked with Coach Williams for almost an hour. He said I’d really fit into their system and about how they already had their point guard and bigs set, but they were trying to get two more wings. Well, I guess one more now that committed this week."

Based on this account, it appears likely that the Tar Heels would only accept one commitment from among Booker, Vaughn or Pinson.
