Front and center: Dyer gets his chance to lead UNC's line


Sophomore , all 6-3 and 275 pounds of him, had sneaked onto the field at Kenan Stadium to snap the ball to Yates. Senior , UNC's starting center, was getting his helmet repaired on the sideline, and that gave Dyer an opportunity to play in a game for the first time since high school. Dyer saw plenty more action against the Dukes after Lenahan suffered a strained right calf early in the third quarter. (Durham Herald-Sun)
