Kennedy Meeks set for Wednesday’s McDonald’s Game
Posted Apr 3, 2013
Kennedy Meeks, a 6-foot-10, 285-pound center from West Charlotte High, will no doubt start some fast breaks in McDonald’s All-American game Wednesday night on ESPN. Meeks will play for the East team, coached by Freddy Johnson of Greensboro Day School. Meeks, in this year’s game along with UNC recruit Isaiah Hicks of Oxford Webb High, is one of 27 N.C. players selected to play in the all-star game since it began in 1977. Meeks is the second player from Charlotte to participate, following Providence High’s Antawn Jamison in 1995.
