Vikings draft guard Travis Bond with second 7th-round pick

The Vikings took guard Travis Bond of North Carolina with their second seventh-round pick of the NFL draft on Saturday, April 27. A 6-foot-6, 329-pounder, Bond weighed 372 pounds when he played for North Carolina in the Independence Bowl as a junior, but was encouraged by coaches to slim down before his senior season.
