Playing Georgia Tech has never been a happy occasion for UNC except during the Dick Crum and Mack Brown years. UNC was 8-2 in the 1980s vs the Yellow Jackets, 5-4-1 in the 1990s including 5-1 in the final six years under Mack Brown. Since UNC beat Georgia Tech on the road in 1997, the Heels are 2-13 versus the Jackets with losing streaks of six, four(current) and three.
