ESPN hires George Karl as TV analyst

, who won the NBA's coach of the year award last season but also lost his job, is joining ESPN as a studio analyst. Karl, the coach of the Denver Nuggets from 2004-05 through last season, signed a multi-year deal with ESPN but will clearly keep an eye out for a return to the sideline. He previously worked for ESPN as a studio analyst during the 2003-04 season. (ESPN.com)
