Brandan Wright not sounding optimistic about being ready for opener

It is looking like a long shot that Mavericks big man Brandan Wright will be available for the season opener on Oct. 30. Wright said he’s hopeful, but did not sound overly optimistic about being ready to go for the opener as he recovers from a left shoulder fracture. “I don’t know,” he said about being ready next week. “I can’t tell you. I’m hopeful, but we’ll see."
