HSOT Holiday Invitational Final Day Recap: Jackson, Berry, Smith, Woods, Ingram


The HighSchoolOT.com Holiday Invitational wrapped up its 3-day tournament Saturday with North Carolina coach on hand. Here's a recap of how UNC's basketball recruits fared.

(2015 UNC small forward recruit)
Berry led Lake Highland to a 74-54 championship victory over Ingram's Kinston squad with in attendance. Berry scored 34 points on 12-of-16 shooting and was 10-of-14 from the free-throw line. He also had 7 rebounds and was named the tournament's MVP. Ingram finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Game Recap

With on hand, Jackson finished with a game-high 33 points, leading the Warriors to a 75-70 win over Wilbraham & Monson. His 3-day point total of 111 places him second all-time in the tournament's history behind former UNC and Garner star (115 in 1990). Jackson was also named the Tournament's Most Outstanding Player. Smith and his Trinity teammates fell to Carlisle in the Summit Bracket championship game, 72-66. Smith scored 17 points in the loss and averaged 27 points and 7 assists per game over the 3-day event. Game Recap

Woods' Hammond team fell in the day's opening game to Middle Creek, 78-48. was in the gym early for the 8:30 a.m. tip, and watched Woods score 14 in the loss. Game Recap
