All-State Kicker Thomas Blakey to walk on at UNC
Posted Feb 12, 2014
Reynolds has a good track record of sending walk-on football players to UNC. Thomas Blakey has kept that pipeline open, accepting a roster spot to kick for the Tar Heels. Two former Rockets players were on UNC’s roster as walk-ons in 2013 — quarterback Caleb Pressley and defensive back Justin St. Onge. Blakey earned All-WNC honors in 2013 after breaking 14 school kicking records. He was also the only placekicker selected to The Associated Press all-state team.
