Brooklyn native Larry Brown heads back to Madison Square Garden as SMU coach

Coaching basketball games at Madison Square Garden will never be old hat for Larry Brown. The 73-year-old Brooklyn native says he grew up watching the New York Knicks and Harlem Globetrotters, holiday festivals and hoops doubleheaders at the Garden. Brown later coached more than 2,000 NBA games and called Madison Square Garden home as the coach of the Knicks in 2005-06.
