Bruce Carter plans to play with a chip on his shoulder


is entering the last year of his contract after struggling in 2013 in the Cowboys’ new 4-3 defense. The Cowboys expected Carter to excel at the key weak-side linebacker spot in their Tampa 2 scheme, but instead he took a step back and lost confidence at times. Carter said the Cowboys aren’t looking to move him to middle linebacker, but he needs to step up on the weak-side. (Dallas Morning News)
