Rasheed Wallace not retained as Pistons assistant coach

The Detroit Pistons announced Friday afternoon that franchise favorite Rasheed Wallace would not be retained as an assistant coach. Wallace — along with assistants Henry Bibby and Bernard Smith — will not be retained. But the focus is on Wallace, who is beloved by fans because of his role on the 2004 NBA championship team and six straight trips to the Eastern Conference finals.
