Roy: NBA does what's best for itself

The new NBA rule that states basketball players must play in college for one season before hopping to the pros was for the NBA's benefit, not the players', North Carolina coach Roy Williams said Monday. The subject came up as freshman Brandan Wright, a projected top-five pick, announced at the Smith Center that he is leaving school for the NBA. ( -- Raleigh News & Observer)
