Ah, the last play. Quinn Kaehler tossed off his back foot looking for Lloyd Mills in the corner of the end zone. But Tim Scott jumped the route, snagged the ball and kept his feet. “I decided to look back at the quarterback and he threw a back-shoulder,” Scott said. The play was reviewed and upheld, and the win was sealed. The key to the stop, indeed the key to the victory, was the Tar Heels’ ability to stay calm.
