One-year Tiger receiver Mike Mason ready for draft
Posted Apr 16, 2007
In his heart, Mike Mason is a Tar Heel first and foremost. After spending three years at UNC, the lighting-fast wide receiver transferred to Tennessee State to finish his eligibility. Mason picked TSU because of his connection to coach James Webster, who had had been an assistant on the UNC staff while he was there. But despite Mason’s allegiance to the Tar Heels, he has an excellent chance to be the first Tiger selected in the NFL Draft since 2000.
