Posted Oct 11, 2014
North Carolina was set to get the ball back with a 36-35 lead after forcing a punt on 4th-and-18 late in the third quarter against No. 5 Notre Dame on Saturday. Then came a penalty flag that changed the game’s trajectory. The call was roughing the snapper and the penalty was a personal foul, resulting in 15 yards of field position and an automatic first down.
