Mike Hughes 'a steal' for UNC
Posted Dec 23, 2014
UNC coach Larry Fedora is getting a real good one in New Bern High School quarterback Mike Hughes, who this past season threw for 1,263 yards, 10 touchdowns and a 4-A state championship, Hillside High School coach Antonio King said. Hughes, who has verbally committed to UNC, also rushed for 1,355 yards and 22 touchdowns. So the guy — he lined up at cornerback, too — was running and throwing for around 200 yards per game. But he'll probably play defense for the Tar Heels. “They are getting a steal,” King said.
