Report: North Carolina hires Gene Chizik as defensive coordinator

North Carolina has reportedly hired a new defensive coordinator, and it's someone who is quite familiar to college football fans. "Former Auburn coach Gene Chizik has accepted the North Carolina defensive coordinator position, a source tells ESPN. — Brandon Zimmerman (@BZSEC)" Chizik had been working as an analyst for the SEC Network this season and has not coached since being fired by Auburn following the 2012 campaign.
