Heels' tired signal: fist and foremost


Gasping for air after a jarring dunk, forward thrust his right fist in the air as he passed the North Carolina bench in a game played late in the regular season. He was saying he was tired, using a signal first put into practice with UNC teams by former coach . It allows players to take themselves out when they're exhausted. It also helps the deep Tar Heels go full-speed all the time -- no excuses. (Raleigh News & Observer)
