Lucas: UNC Basketball Mailbag March 20
Posted Mar 20, 2007
After Saturday's win over the green-clad Michigan State Spartans, the Tar Heels are now 12-1 on St. Patrick's Day in the ACC era. Those dozen wins include a couple of signature Tar Heel performances, as the Tar Heels defeated Notre Dame in 1977 (the only bad luck in that game came when Phil Ford hyperextended his elbow in the closing moments) and beat Oklahoma on a Rick Fox buzzer-beater in 1990.
