Scott Cherry recalls mentor Dean Smith

Tournament time is the most popular part of college basketball season. When the lights are the brightest it can seem like every shot is life or death. Scott Cherry learned a long time ago that’s not the case. Cherry, a Ballston Spa native who graduated from Saratoga Catholic in 1989, recently reflected on his time playing basketball at UNC and the lessons he learned from his former coach Dean Smith.
