Class of 2005 Hansbrough was rated lower than several other UNC recruits in this time span – he was No. 8 overall and the No. 2 power forward – but you could tell how badly Williams wanted him by how tenaciously he recruited him. There’s no doubt that Williams targeted Hansbrough as one of the most elite players of the 2005 class, and he put all of his effort into that recruitment. (Carolina Blue)
