North Carolina welcomes back 17 starters, including 10 on an offense ably guided by quarterback Marquise Williams. But the Tar Heels ranked 116th among 125 teams nationally in scoring defense at 39.0 points per game last season, and absent exponential improvement under new coordinator Gene Chizik, UNC is less trustworthy than an o-lineman left to his own devices at the ice cream bar.
