Memorable Superdome moments: Chris Webber's mistaken timeout in NCAA title game vs. UNC
Posted Jul 30, 2015
When Chris Webber was trapped by a double team near Michigan's bench, the leader of the famed Fab Five cradled the ball to his chest and signaled timeout. Only problem was the Wolverines didn't have a timeout to take. The crowd of 64,151 was stunned. Webber's mistake resulted in a technical foul and two free throws by UNC's Donald Williams with 11 seconds remaining and an eventual 77-71 win for the Tar Heels.
