Chizik, defensive staff impacting recruiting

With 2016 middle linebacker Jonathan Smith (Laurinburg, NC/Scotland County) committing to North Carolina on Friday evening, the new UNC defensive staff have been able to come in and lock down a number of the Tar Heels' top targets in this class. Smith credit UNC defensive coordinator Gene Chizik and linebackers coach John Papuchis as big roles in his decision to become a Tar Heel.
