Posted Aug 14, 2015
Jonathan Smith wanted to share one of the most important decisions of his young life with his adopted hometown. The Scotland High School linebacker did so with style and fanfare Friday when he selected North Carolina as his college destination over Duke. Smith, a 6-foot-1, 230-pounder, made the announcement before a crowd of more than 500, including his Fighting Scots teammates, during intermission of a "Friday After Five'' concert at the James L. Morgan Recreation Complex.
