North Carolina's tempo offense might challenge its defense

Though North Carolina spent last season scoring at a frenetic pace on offense, the defense lagged desperately behind. Now Gene Chizik’s job is to turn a sieve into a brick wall, while head coach Larry Fedora keeps his foot on the gas on the other side of the ball. It’s a fundamental divide that’s being felt throughout college football, but is crystalized by Chizik’s hire in Chapel Hill.
