Black history month: Steve Robinson
Posted Feb 11, 2007
Steve Robinson became the first black men's basketball coach at Florida State and promptly led the Seminoles to the second round of the NCAA tournament in 1997-98. FSU hasn't been back to the Big Dance since. Robinson lasted five seasons with the Seminoles, compiling a 64-86 record. He returned to Kansas as an assistant for Roy Williams, who left for North Carolina in 2003-04 and brought Robinson with him.
