UNC defensive coordinator Gene Chizik has been nominated for the 2015 Broyles Award, presented annually to the nation's top assistant coach. Chizik won the award while serving as the defensive coordinator at Auburn in 2004. No team in the country has improved as dramatically on defense as the Tar Heels, who are allowing nearly 20 fewer points and more than 113 fewer yards than last year.
