North Carolina made 9 of 13 shots from three-point range, tying the sixth-highest percentage (.692) in a game in school history with at least 10 three-point attempts. Tonight marked the first time UNC and Maryland played when both teams were ranked in the Top 10 since No. 9 UNC beat No. 6 Maryland, 86-83, in College Park, Md., on Jan. 10, 2001.
