Jerry Stackhouse: "After the games, I was venting to my mom. ‘This ain’t the place for me. I need to transfer.’ She listened to my whole spiel. Then she said something that still resonates with me today: ‘If you start running now, you’ll be running for your whole life.’ Two weeks later, I was named MVP of the ACC tournament. That’s the importance of listening to your momma."
