Even without stars shining, UNC finds a way to win … the way good teams do


Mark Gottfried’s words turned out to be prophetic. Only it wasn’t his N.C. State basketball team that heeded them. “Throughout the game of basketball, things happen,” the Wolfpack coach said Wednesday after his team’s home loss to Florida State. “Good teams overcome whatever it may be … foul trouble, poor shooting.” Saturday at the Smith Center, that’s exactly what North Carolina did.
